House Cleaning Services Canada

While you don’t need to clean for your house cleaner, there are a few things you should do to prepare your home for your house cleaning booking. This helps avoid any misunderstandings and helps to ensure the house cleaning checklist is successfully completed in a timely manner.

Declutter
Please clear counters and other surfaces of clutter and put away toys and items that don’t belong on the floor. Your house cleaner will attempt to clean around remaining items but may skip excessively cluttered areas. If you struggle with hoarding or excessive clutter, please let us know in advance. We may be able to recommend a specialized service to help prepare your home for house cleaning.

Dishes
We do not offer dishwashing services but some house cleaning packages include placing dishes in the dishwasher. Please ensure the dishwasher is empty and dishes are scraped. We do not handle dishes with food, left soaking or rancid nor do we pick up dishes left around the house.

Bed Linens
If your purchased house cleaning checklist includes changing bed linens then please leave the clean bed linens on the corresponding bed’s corner.

Clothing Pickup
Please pick up laundry and clothing from floors and surfaces as we do not handle or pick up clothing left on the floor or around the house.

Toy Pickup
Please kindly pick up any toys that don’t belong on the floor and ensure those that do are in their designated places.  We do not pick up toys as part of our house cleaning service.

Pets
If your pet is an escape risk, aggressive, overly friendly or prone to behaviors like biting, scratching or getting underfoot, please ensure they are off-site or securely contained during the booking. We do not offer pet care services such as letting pets in or out or feeding them nor do we accept liability for your pets. Please clean up any pet waste prior to your booking.

Access
Please ensure access to your home as specified in the booking details. If we are locked out, we’ll attempt to contact you and if we do not gain access within the prescribed period, as per our terms of service, we’ll abort the booking but still charge the full estimated amount.

Work Order Changes
Please communicate any work order changes in advance through Customer support. Providers are strictly prohibited from altering work orders during the booking or without direct instructions from our Customer support team conveyed through a work order update in their app.

Payment
Please ensure the provided card has sufficient balance for the estimated amount, as a hold or pre-charge is applied 72 hours before the booking for it to proceed.

Winter Access
Please ensure driveways, walkways and steps are clear of snow, ice and are not slippery by applying salt or sand as necessary. Expect your booking to proceed unless notified otherwise, as we do not shut down if schools close and align our operations with public bus services.

Climate Control
Please ensure that climate control is maintained with air conditioning during hot weather and heat turned up during cold weather, as our Providers are unable to work in excessively hot or cold environments.

Lighting
Please ensure that the lights are turned on throughout your home so that our Providers can see properly, reducing the risk of accidents and allowing them to clean  your house better.

Heavy Soil Notice
Please let us know in advance if there are heavily soiled surfaces or if your house has not been cleaned at least bi-weekly, so we can be properly prepared and allot enough time for the booking.

Provider Safety
Please lock away firearms, store sharp objects like razors or needles and inform us of any hazards such as loose railings, steps, fixtures or anything else that could cause injury to our Providers or result in a breakage.
